Over the years the business has expanded and diversified into many different areas and activities in Malta and internationally and mostly related to the service sector. These include:

These businesses have been run as independent autonomous companies with Head Office overseeing at Board of Directors’ level.
The Group has pioneered various enterprises in Malta amongst other achievements and roles of entrepreneurial leadership, and in fact:
•Owned the first ship to fly the Malta Maritime flag,
•Was the first operator in container handling,
•Supplied to the Government of Malta its first gantry crane,
•Founded Malta’s first state of the art private hospital,
•Introduced mobile telephony to Malta,
•Founded Malta’s first internet service provider.
•The Group continues to be in the front line of Malta’s economic development and modernisation and is actively involved and interested in the Government of Malta’s privatisation programme.
In 2002 Bianchi’s consortium successfully bid and acquired Malta International Airport and a Group Company has also been awarded the licence for the National Lottery, both against very stiff competition.
