Founded in 2002, Berryessa Gap Vineyards is located in Winters, California, Yolo County. Its vineyards lie on the inner slope of California's North Coast Range and beneath a break known to locals as the Berryessa Gap, a prominent and beautiful landmark. Through this break, a breath of the coastal influence greets the mornings, and brilliant sunsets end the days.
Through the characteristics of Berryessa Gap’s Coble Ranch vineyard, which has similar terroir to the hotter and dryer climate of the Mediterranean, the winery produces award-winning red and white wines such as Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Barbera, Malbec, Albariño, Verdejo, and Sauvignon Blanc, to name a few.
Winters is also the eastern portal to California's Highway 128. This historic and scenic wine country road winds 140 miles northeast through Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties to the Pacific Ocean. And, through our familial connection with Martinez Orchards, the winery has partnered with respected growers along Highway 128 to produce wines from the world-class varietals grown in the numerous, unique microclimates that exist throughout this route. Our Highway 128 Wine Collection™ includes a North Coast Brut Rosé, a Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, and a Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon with other iconic varietals planned for release in the future.
Visit us at our winery or tasting room in Winters and enjoy the beautiful red, white and rosé wines acclaimed by Wine Enthusiast, Sunset International and San Francisco Chronicle.
