Bernard Stilwell Architects are a close-knit team of talented designers, producing award-winning architecture since 1997.
Bernard Stilwell and Patrick Monaghan previously worked at the pioneering modernist practice Powell Moya - the first practice to win the RIBA Gold Medal, where Bernard was a Director.
These strong roots in British modern architecture, and strong ethical grounding, have enabled BSA to grow and develop our own passion for thoughtful architecture, with close attention to design with social responsibility – architecture that responds to the needs of people, and the environment. Developing a reputation for solving complex problems with elegant solutions, and getting things built.
We're based in the heart of London's creative district in vibrant Shoreditch, in our own self-designed studios in a historic warehouse conversion.
The practice operates across a broad range of projects, from large complex swimming pools and one-off private houses, to small bespoke art installations.
Always providing a high quality service, delivering excellence in design, and building outstanding architecture, by applying original thinking, flair, and creativity, coupled with a rigorous pragmatism to every project.
