Berchman’s Brewing Company is a family owned and ran nano-brewery located in Yakima, Washington. Established in 2014. Our taproom followed almost two years later, opening in the summer of 2016.
We brew our beer on a 2 BBL system utilizing local hops, grains, specialized ingredients, and pure artesian water. We allow our beer to naturally condition and carbonate. We rarely filter and often our beer is cloudy with residual suspended yeast. Berchman’s strives to be 100% waste free. We currently partner with local small farms and gardens in the use of our spent grain.
Our taproom is located on historic Front Street in the Old Opera House, which was once home to two other breweries. Originally, it housed North Yakima Brewing and Malting co. that shut their doors with the Temperance/Prohibition. Fast forward a few years, Bert Grant, known as The Godfather of Craft Brewing, started the first brewpub in the U.S. post Prohibition.
Come by the taproom to see what we have on tap right now, as we are changing our taps every few weeks. If you find our door closed, give us a ring. If we aren’t brewing, we might be able to come down.
