Bennabis is dedicated to filling the needs of the cannabis industry, particularly those in the industry who touch the plant, from seed to sale. Its President saw first hand as a dispensary board member in New Jersey how plant touching businesses within the cannabis industry are struggling to obtain adequate, affordable business insurance and is on a trail-blazing mission to change that. Bennabis is the solution for an industry that has suffered a unique stigma due to the federal government’s treatment of cannabis. Currently, virtually all of the insurance available to plant touching businesses is offered by surplus lines carriers. Bennabis has taken the road less traveled by creating an admitted carrier to exclusively serve the needs of the cannabis community. It is all we do and we bring the experience necessary to make that work. Bennabis is spearheaded by Don Parisi, a long-time dispensary board member, former President of an insurer, former General Counsel of a specialty property and casualty insurance company which exclusively served the motorcycle industry and former New Jersey Deputy Attorney General for the Commissioner of Insurance. All in all Don has spent more than 30 years immersed in the insurance industry. Don has surrounded himself with other professionals who share the same vision, including people with cannabis industry, commercial insurance, claims, legal and financial experience.
