The Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce is the umbrella organisation for all chambers of commerce in Belgium. In addition, it represents the interests of 33 Belgian-Luxembourg chambers of commerce abroad.
A key activity of the Belgian chambers and the Federation is international trade promotion:
- Chambers of commerce issue certificates of origin and ATA carnets, essential documents for companies that operate internationally. With DigiChambers, companies can now also simply request their certificates of origin online and print them.
- Chambers, in close cooperation with the Belgian Ministry of Economy, are committed to strengthening the international competitiveness of Belgian companies.
- Through its membership of Eurochambres, ICC and the World Chambers Federation, the Federation promotes the interests of Belgian business in Europe and internationally. At the same time, these organisations provide access to a network of partners all around the world.
The Belgian chambers of commerce and the Federation are also very active in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. We use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to coach companies to become more sustainable and have a partnership with Cifal Flanders, an international training centre connected to the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
