Battle Ground Public Schools educates students in an engaging environment that meets the needs of every learner. We provide educational opportunities ranging from traditional to alternative. Our programs comprise K-12 classrooms; online learning; a homeschool program; a high school STEM program that focuses on agriculture, science and the environment; a rigorous academic academy; and a high school for self-directed learners.
By focusing on best instructional practices, technology, and facilities, BGPS teaches students to think critically and creatively and prepares them for success after high school. Low teacher-to-student ratios let staff impart practical skills and knowledge to students within the framework of state learning standards and social-emotional learning. Our students achieve state test scores that are consistently above state average.
Battle Ground Public Schools supports approx. 12,000 students in 19 schools: seven primary schools, six middle schools, one 3-12 academy, two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, one remote learning school and one homeschool support program. The district has more than 1,500 professional staff and serves a population of 72,000 residents and spans 273 square miles in Clark County and the cities of Battle Ground, Brush Prairie, Amboy, Yacolt and Vancouver.
