Bassita is a social start-up specialized in awareness and fund raising for positive initiatives. Bassita creates and implements online and on ground awareness activities through developing partnerships with a large range of stake holders, including media, gouvernemental entities, NGOs and private sector companies.
Bassita is the innovator of the multi awarded clickfunding model and of VeryNile, the first global initiative to protect and clean the Nile.
Clickfunding
Clickfunding allows social media users to raise fund for positive initiatives just by interacting on an awareness campaign. Campaigns are associated with sponsors; the more social media users comment, share or like the campaign, the more sponsors fund the initiative.
Bassita developed clickfunding campaigns for UNICEF, Helm, Safarni, Misr El Kheir or IOM, among others and raised more than 700,000USD thanks to 12 million social media users.
Awareness Campaigns
Bassita initiates and develops awareness campaigns aiming to tackle specific societal issues or to promote positive initiatives.
VeryNile
VeryNile is the first initiative to develop large scale means to clean the Nile while raising awareness on the importance to protect our environment. VeryNile organizes cleaning events and develops eco-friendly cleaning boats.
Migrants and migration
Over the years, Bassita has developed strong skills and experience on addressing migration through numerous online campaigns and on ground activities. Bassita developed several projects to empower migrants and refugees in Egypt and to improve the perception of migration in the MENA region and in Europe.
