A community was formed when a group of men came together in 1921 to build a "Club in the Country." Barrington Hills is 40 miles outside of Chicago. It was founded by a group of "gentlemen farmers" with the intent for a place that promoted friendships, families, and a sense of tight-knit community—the current clubhouse designed by Robert Work, who was an associate of David Adler.
The facilities include a George O'Neill designed 18 hole golf course, 8 Har-tru tennis courts, a swimming pool for the summer activities. For the fall and winter months, the Club has a new paddle lodge with four paddle tennis courts.
