Baldja is an incorporated joint venture between RSGx, Kardan Construction and Wilco Electrical. The word Baldja is Noongar for Standing United.
Whadjuk Yued Noongar man Frank Mitchell is a director and majority owner. Baldja is a Supply Nation Certified company.
The partnership between Wilco, Kardan and RSGx strengthens each company’s ability to offer top tier mechanical, electrical and construction services to our customers. We are able to deliver larger and more complex projects, which in turn enables even more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in addition to Wilco and Kardan's current programs.
Over the last 8 years, Wilco and Kardan have developed several social impact pathways. Baldja's success directly impacts Wilco's and Kardan's internal programs as well as supporting its own. One example is Baldja sets aside 10% of profits guaranteed (forecasted profits via progress claims) to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout their Baldja Kardan or Wilco employment journey where needed. This fund is to assist apprentices, trainees or staff when they require additional support.
