Baker McMillan Architects began in Manhattan, Kansas in 1983 with an additional office opening in Junction City in 1986. A significant portion of the firm's practice has been involved with the design of facilities for many diverse user groups. Project types have ranged from historic structures, medical buildings, government facilities, senior centers, banks, theater/art centers, churches, maintenance buildings, schools, private residences, and other projects both public and private.
It is the basic philosophy of this firm that we, as architects, serve in the capacity of facilitators for our clients. In our estimation the true role of the architect is to take the ideas of the client and help them form and mold into an attractive, useful, and functional products that allow the client to better serve his or her mission in life and in the community being served. As a facilitator our greatest reward is, and always will be, a satisfied client.
