In 2001 Bahi Motors became the sole agent for MINI. Bahi Motors had a main office in the city center and a workshop in the suburb, until the modern, well-equipped facility was constructed along the Harasta Homs Highway, which has now become the prime location for many car importers.
The official opening was on 1 August 2001.
