Dallas, Texas based independent investment firm founded by Alex Szewczyk and Michael Watzky. Mr. Szewczyk and Mr. Watzky began investing together in 2008 and founded BP Energy Partners in 2012 with an emphasis on Practical Decarbonization, within Private Equity, Real Assets, and Non-Core Infrastructure. Initially backed by the late T. Boone Pickens. Boone was an early proponent of the Energy Transition through the launching of the “Pickens Plan” in 2008, which emphasized natural gas, renewables, and domestic energy independence. BP manages capital on behalf of corporate pensions, public pensions, domestic and international insurance companies, and family offices.
