COMPANY PROFILE Behind the unique concept of artist creating, manufacturing and distributing their own work, Benson-Cobb Studios provides gallery quality art mass produced from the studio of abstract artist Carol Benson-Cobb. Carol and her husband, artist and cofounder Chris Cobb, have evolved Carol’s original works into a unique business model. With a dedicated studio and sales team, they have been able to expand the art, and proudly state, “The possibilities are endless.” Together, the Benson-Cobb Studios family is celebrating its first ARTS nomination in the category of wall décor. POINT OF DISTINCTION “Our entire foundation and processes are based on being creatively different,” Carol explains. “We are not only made in the US, but we source from our own backyard – our raw materials are milled locally and are hand stained. The company’s giclées are printed, hand stretched and assembled at the Texas studio.” RANGE OF PRODUCT Carol’s techniques have enabled her to expand her collection into three basic categories: giclées, mixed media originals and original work. The giclées are gallery-quality reproductions on canvas, and the giclée prints under glass use archival processes and are hand assembled. In the mixed media original offering, Carol features signed, one-of-a-kind works created by embellishing the giclées to achieve a unique version. MOVING FORWARD “Our ultimate goal is to make a difference – to put our unique footprint on ‘business as usual.’ We want to create a successful platform to not only expand our creative horizons but have a positive effect on those around us,” says Carol.
