The BC Young Farmers (BCYF) is a committee under the BC Agriculture Council (BCAC). BCYF assists in the transition of young farmers to board rooms and to owning a farm. In social and interactive settings, our members learn leadership skills, explore community development, improve agricultural awareness, explore individual talents and most importantly, meet fellow young farmers.
BCYF members are young farmers or young agricultural supporters between the ages of 19 and 40. Our motto is “Keeping farming alive with the next generation”. Our goal is to help empower young farmers to help them get into and continue farming. The BCYF organize events that are educational and provide an opportunity for young farmers to meet other young farmers.
BCYF has developed an identity and we are active in community and farm events. Check out our past and future events at: http://www.bcyf.ca/home.
