On June 29, 2018, BC Clinical and Support Services (BCCSS) and the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) amalgamated to form one combined organization. This amalgamation is the result of an expanded mandate for PHSA from the Ministry of Health to drive system-wide changes, including increased coordination and integration to better serve patients through a more unified system of care.
