Basis Berlin Filmproduktion

BASIS BERLIN Filmproduktion is an independent arthouse film production company based in Berlin. In 2010 it emerged from the postproduction house BASIS BERLIN Postproduktion focusing on the development of high-quality national and international Fiction Features as well as documentary films and documentary TV formats. The documentary OF FATHERS AND SONS by Talal Derki was nominated for the German Film Award 2019 and the Academy Award in 2019 in the category Best Documentary and won Sundance Film Festival in 2018. TASTE OF CEMENT by Ziad Kalthoum successfully toured across international film festivals and was nominated for the German Film Award in the category Best Documentary in spring 2018. The producing partners Eva Kemme, Ansgar Frerich and Tobias N. Siebert are supported by Head of Finance Sabrina Sawatzki and Development Producer Uschi Feldges. BASIS BERLIN is our cinematic home and the home for our writers and directors. Due to the close cooperation of production and post-production we are able to create the space for a long-term and innovative relationship with our filmmakers.
