The Sheffield Hatters were established in 1961 and became the first Women’s Basketball team in England. They are a registered charity located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. They have a professional team that compete in the Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) as Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters. Hatters have had national success since the early 1990s achieving over 60 national titles.
The club has 7 teams creating opportunities for all ages to play basketball. They go into schools across Sheffield, priding themselves on their development and community work.
