Averto is a crowd-sourced mapping app and alert system providing real-time information that safeguards people and organizations in conflict zones. --Crowd-sourced data --Situational awareness --Customized alerts --Customized dashboards & analysis The Problem: 1 in 5 people globally (2 billion) live in conflict zones. Their daily routine is potentially deadly. Their safety and self-determination are hindered by dangers such as roadside bombs and militia checkpoints, and their ability to find secure, rapid, and community-sourced information is non-existent. Our Solution: Averto brings clarity to the chaos civilians face every day in conflict zones by allowing users to report what is happening around them, and to view these reports on a shared live map. Our system combines in-country community moderators with reliability statistics based on user validation through anonymous voting on reports. Tripoli Beta Phase We have launched Averto's Beta in Tripoli, Libya, and it is currently being utilized by our users to navigate the challenges of the ongoing conflict.
