Australian Forest and Wood Innovations (AFWI) is a recently established national research institute committed to fulfilling the Australian Government’s promise of establishing a National Institute for Forest Products Innovation across the country. Situated at the University of Tasmania’s Newnham campus, AFWI is poised to play a crucial role in advancing national forestry research, development, and engagement (RD&E). The institute will strategically coordinate and deliver Australian-made solutions to address key challenges within the forestry sector.
