AIPEG is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. AIPEG aims to improve the quality of the Indonesian Government’s economic management and through this contribute to broad based economic growth, efficient and increased revenue collection, and poverty reduction. AIPEG is responsive to the needs of a wide range of agencies responsible for its engagement policy areas. To support efforts to secure strong, sustainable, and inclusive growth through robust economic governance, AIPEG’s framework covers the macro economy and four engagement areas that are significant for Indonesia’s economic competitiveness. These are:
(i) Markets – improving product and factor market efficiency;
(ii) Finance – delivering financial stability and development;
(iii) Spending – improving the quality, delivery efficiency, and access to public services; and
(iv) Revenue – mobilising revenues without unduly impeding private activity.
