Austin Area Research Organization

The Austin Area Research Organization (AARO) is a non-partisan nonprofit organization that builds on the savvy and brainpower of 100 leaders from the Central Texas region of Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, Bastrop and Burnet counties. Membership is drawn from every sector of the economy, including high-tech industry and manufacturing, real estate, finance, health care, professional firms, the arts, education and charitable groups. Without looking for credit, AARO takes the output of our work to Central Texas’ elected leaders and to the public to advance solutions to major issues that affect every citizen in our region. Our five priority areas include energy and water, health care, education, social equity and transportation.
