Ausimm Adelaide Student Chapter

The AusIMM Adelaide Student Chapter is a student-run, industry-supported student body that aims to link students to the minerals industry and facilitate members’ personal and professional development through networking and the provision of career advice in social and educational settings. The Student Chapter achieves this by hosting events in conjunction with industry companies and professional bodies throughout the year for the benefit of students. We educate and promote to students the opportunities that exist in the mining sector and through encouragement and support, drive students to become future leaders in the industry. Our chapter's events include BBQ nights, Students Meet Industry (SMI) evening, mine site visits, quiz nights, students & industry presentations, skill-building workshops, mine site visits and vacation work opportunities. The chapter also sends diverse teams of students to compete at the annual International and National Mining Games.
