Audubon Machinery Corporation (AMC) is a diversified manufacturing
company with its headquarters and production facility located in
North Tonawanda, NY. Its 42,000 sq. ft. building was the first factory in New York State to be given a “Green Building” Certification by the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) in 2007. Its two operating divisions are Oxygen Generating Systems Intl. (OGSI) and SMC-Roe. OGSI was acquired upon the formation of Audubon Machinery in early 2004, but its roots date back to 1995. It was founded with the goal of
becoming the leading manufacturer of fractional and small tonnage onsite PSA Oxygen Generators and
it has made great strides in that effort. It has thousands of machines in service in medical and industrial
applications around the world, and it continues to design and develop new products.
SMC-ROE was formed in 2012 as a result of an acquisition of Roe Bio-Medical by Schlyer Machine. Schlyer Machine has been a division of Audubon Machinery since late 2004, but its historygoes back to 1977. At that time, the company was founded to produce Animal Cage and Rack Washingequipment under the Basil® brand name. Roe Bio-Medical manufactures specialized bedding automation and advanced material handling for lab animals. Together, SMC-Roe provides everything for the vivarium washroom.
