Founded in 1997 in New York, the Association of Music Producers (AMP) is a trade association made up of music and sound professionals that advocates on behalf of companies and individuals who produce music for advertising and branded media. We strive to bring awareness to the best work that our industry creates. We are involved in local and state legislation that affects our membership in particular and the broader world of ad music and sound.
Our original mission was to lobby for higher advertising royalty payments from ASCAP, and we were successful in our efforts. Since then, our AMP community has grown to represent the top companies and individual composers that create and discover the right music and sound for advertising campaigns and branded entertainment.
