Assisterhood aims to address the representation imbalance by connecting women, non-binary, and culturally underrepresented folks to inspiring and relatable leaders.
Founded in 2018 with five mentors and five mentees, Assisterhood is now an Australia and Aotearoa-wide mentorship program connecting underrepresented people with diverse senior leaders in marketing, client services, design, creative, tech, production, media, strategy and business leadership disciplines.
Through a strategically-based mentorship matchmaking system, and structured one-to-one program, these industry greats pass on their unique knowledge and lived experiences to their chosen mentee.
Since its first year, Assisterhood mentees have continuously gone on to succeed with renewed confidence and support. Alumni surveys show 62% of mentees obtained a promotion or new job within 12 months of the program, and a massive 85% gained new skills and experience.
Assisterhood now boasts 1300+ applications, 45+ events, and 230+ alumni, including 75 incredible mentors across two countries in 2024.
