Arts for Learning, Woodruff Arts Center (A4L) is Georgia’s leading provider of arts-in-education programming. Part of the prestigious 30-chapter national Young Audiences organization and a division of the Woodruff Arts Center, A4L brings the power of live arts experiences to Georgia students from pre-school through high school. Arts for Learning is celebrating 30 years of service and has grown into a force in arts education, with dozens of professional roster artists and ensembles that deliver programs in schools and community centers. We fulfill our mission – to transform the lives and learning of young people through the arts – by providing a dazzling and culturally diverse array of curriculum-based performances, workshops and residencies in music, dance, theatre, literary arts and visual arts
Arts for Learning has made a commitment to impacting literacy in K-12th grades by providing supplemental programs that align to Georgia Performance Standards. Our Literacy Programs, smART stART, Arts for Learning Lessons and Digital Storytelling are designed to provide students with opportunities to increase literacy, writing skills and overall language development through in-depth engagement in the arts. We also offer professional development to classroom teachers to help them use arts-integrated instructional strategies, with a special focus on literacy.
All students are eager to learn; by using creative, engaging, proven instructional strategies, including the arts, Arts for Learning helps our partners ensure that all children leave school ready for work and life
