"Know what you own and know why you own it" -Peter Lynch Arthanaya Capital is a student-driven independent fund body run by the students of IIM Ranchi. It is an investment-oriented fund that aims to further the IIM Ranchi community’s knowledge in financial markets and personal finance through investment analysis and portfolio management. Our investment approach includes every chosen stock or sector passing through a vigorous fundamental analysis involving top-down GEIC analysis and valuations being determined by a variety of financial models, both intrinsic and relative, with our market entry being calibrated by technical analysis of the stocks. Learning is our core objective, and this is done by researching on and creating sectoral and equity research reports, providing stock valuations and recommendations, publishing newsletters as well as periodic updates on our chosen sectors and companies, conducting knowledge sharing sessions, and inviting industry experts to showcase their market insight. We cover 6 sectors initially and will increase our coverage in the following years. Sectors are chosen based on a variety of factors such as industry dynamics, growth potential, presence of competition. All our research will be shared with our investor and stakeholder network to promote financial and general awareness as well as to inculcate a healthy habit of investing and saving within the IIM Ranchi community.
