Burwell Hunt and Mike Davies established the foundational structure of the architectural practice in 1994, which has since developed into Architecture HDT Ltd, currently led by two directors, Mark Bates and Geoff Glynan.
Mike Davies has spearheaded the development of several Wellington-based pubs, including Molly Malones, Leuven, and the award-winning Backbencher. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to the built environment through projects like the Martinborough Hotel.
Mark Bates has experience working across a diverse range of project types, spanning from small residential alterations to large-scale new commercial projects. He has most recently focused on aquatic facility design and documentation.
Geoff Glynan has served as a Project Architect on various residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. As a director, his particular focus centres around large mixed-use commercial development.
Architecture HDT Ltd has built a strong and established reputation for thoroughness and attention to detail, inviting full client participation at every stage of a project's lifecycle. Our portfolio showcases a wide range of project types, including community facilities, upmarket apartments, sports and recreation centres, hospitality establishments, large-scale retail developments, and more recently, involvement in new typologies for social housing.
