The Arc of NM is a community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc is at the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support they need to be members of the community. The Arc serves individuals and families in all 5 regions of the state. The Arc provides a variety of services including Guardianship, Special Needs Trusts, Representative Payee, Personal Plan Facilitation, Self-Advocacy and Leadership Development, and Coalition, Network and Chapter Development. The Arc of NM also works with the New Mexico Legislature, State Agencies, community leaders, providers, families and other advocates to fight against discrimination, fear, segregation and abuse and for freedom, choice, respect and dignity.

The Arc New Mexico promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
