Aram was founded in 1964 by Zeev Aram - the first man to bring the work of Le Corbusier, Marcel Breuer and Achille Castiglioni amongst others to the British public. That was in a small, white shop on the King's Road. Since then Aram Contracts has been providing comprehensive furniture packages for the UK and international contract markets.
Aram now occupies a fantastic, five-storey showroom on Drury Lane in the heart of London's Covent Garden. The huge old fruit and vegetable warehouse provides a lofty 20,000 square feet of space housing Aram Contracts, Aram Store and The Aram Gallery - ample room to showcase the very best selection of pieces from over 400 manufacturers and suppliers of contemporary furniture.
Aram Contracts are able to directly source one of the largest portfolios of high quality products available, and working with architects, designers and client end users we aim to bring our extensive product knowledge and experience of international design led manufacturers to our customers.
Working in partnership with our customers we hope to provide a practical and cost efficient solution to meet the brief. From initial ideas through specification to final delivery and installation, Aram Contracts' experienced personnel will provide all the project management needed to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
In the early 1970's, Zeev began a collaboration with the designer Eileen Gray which resulted in Miss Gray granting Aram Designs Ltd the worldwide licence to introduce, produce and distribute her designs in 1975 - a licence Aram holds to this day.
