At the APDW studio, we believe that design is about the enhancement of human experience. The passion of our firm is to create meaningful spaces that make a positive contribution to the environmental, cultural, and social quality of the community. The firm’s philosophy includes combining sound science with visionary ideas to push the design envelope – design that is a fusion of art, technology, and science. At APDW, we do not just create landscapes, we create places, outdoor rooms, environments for living in, environments for working in and for enjoying life.
Studio principal April Philips is a prominent advocate for urban agriculture and has published numerous articles on urban agriculture practices. Her first book 'Designing Urban Agriculture', a how-to guide for designing and developing urban agriculture projects, is due out in March 2013.
