Established by MCIT in April 2020, the Applied Innovation Center (AIC) uses emerging Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in addressing, analyzing, and solving national challenges, while creating an environment where human capital is developed, and innovative startups can grow. AIC uses the most appropriate technologies to develop and maintain innovative solutions in key applications areas, such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, economic development, digital identity management, and others. It also uses the solution development environment to provide an opportunity for R&D inclined professionals to develop world-class skills in advanced ICT fields, such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Automation and Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computing, and others. AIC helps to accelerate the growth of the Egyptian ICT sector by supporting the creation of domestic high-tech enterprises that can ultimately participate in large government projects and serve the private sector, both locally and internationally.
