Anti-Slavery Australia is Australia's only specialist legal, research and policy centre focused on ending human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices including forced labour and forced marriage.
Based in the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney, we provide access to free legal and migration services for people who have experienced or are at risk of modern slavery.
For over a decade, we have played a leading role transforming the Australian legal and policy response to human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices.
Anti-Slavery Australia's founding Director, Prof Jennifer Burn, has over 17 years of research and practice experience in the area of human trafficking and slavery.
Our team includes lawyers, researchers and trainers, who are dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people through legal representation, awareness raising, education and advocacy. Our team is supported by a strong team of volunteers and student interns.
