Anthem Visual Effects, founded in 2004, is an independent visual effects boutique in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Anthem provides a high level of attention and creativity to its clients in the film and television industry, while affording efficiency and economic advantages. Anthem endeavours to actively develop the art of motion picture storytelling through a combination of spectacular visual effects and the latest technology.
Located on the waterfront in Vancouver's historic Gastown, Anthem's production facility overlooks both the Pacific Ocean and Coast Mountains. A classic turn of the century brick building offering spectacular views is home to Anthem’s entirely Mac based Maya and Nuke pipeline, and ever-expanding roster of talented artists.
President, and Award-Winning Visual Effects Supervisor, Lee Wilson heads up the Anthem team. In 2008, Anthem began working on the ground breaking television series “Sanctuary”.
Lee Wilson was Visual Effects Supervisor, Co-Executive Producer, as well as Director of several episodes. It was the first series to shoot almost exclusively on green screen combining extraordinary visual effects and virtual sets. Anthem’s talented team created everything from strange creatures to complex environments, sweeping cityscapes and remote locations.
Anthem has created thousands of stunning effects for both the big and small screen earning a total of 5 Emmy nominations.
