Ammarr PP Bags and Plastic Factory PLC was established in 2007 EC in the town of Kombolcha (Wollo), 380km north of Addis Ababa. It produces different sized pp bags such as jumbo bags (bulk bags), laminated bags, as well as hessian clothes and plastic products (LDPE products) such as roll plastics for packing purposes and laundry plastics in different sizes and thicknesses. The company is also engaged in the export of oilseeds and cereals, and imports industrial chemicals and raw materials such as raffia, filler, polypropylene, masterbatch, ink, thinner and cal pent. The company, first established as a share company, became a private limited company (PLC) in 2009 EC, with a facility resting on a total of 1.2 million m2 out of which 8,000m2 is covered by three buildings.
