General information The Music Service works in Schools, Music Centres and other educational settings providing and promoting a wide variety of activities: - Instrumental tuition, both individual and in small groups- Leading orchestras, ensembles, choirs and groups in rehearsals and performances- Whole Class Practical Musicianship (Wider Opportunities) in primary, special schools in a wide range of formats- Lessons in theory, aural skills and musicianship- Curriculum support in all types and phases of school- Large scale performances that provide opportunities for many children to take part- Professional training for teachers and musicians With our hub partners we also work in a range of community settings, promoting new music and informal music; arts and cultural projects and festivals; music technology, production and business and building networks for all kinds of musicians to work creatively together.
