Gravitas Wines in San Francisco, created and monetized the first interactive B2B on-line marketplace matching independent wineries and buyers through a suite of interactive selling tools that maximized small wine-makers’ access to the top names in the restaurant, entertainment, and retail channels. The company debuted the national roll-out of the McManis Family Vineyard brand as well as the Wine Spectator favorite, Duval-Leroy Champagne from Vertus. Under the Alignment Consulting banner, the team provided consulting services for business development, marketing strategy, business-line extensions, business model transformation and M&A strategies for private and family owned businesses. Gravitas wines was acquired by a channel competitor in 2005.
