Operating activities of Alchemia are concentrated in three pipe mill plants: Huta Batory, Rurexpol and WRA and two subsidiaries: Huta Bankowa and Kuznia Batory.
HUTA BATORY produces high quality seamless steel pipes (diameter 219 - 508 mm) from a wide range of steel grades, including carbon steel, alloy steel and heat resisting steel, provides a wide range of products: line pipes, construction pipes, shipbuilding pipes, boiler tubes and construction pipes for machining. Those are used mostly in the power, petrochemical and drilling industry, and in building gas and oil pipelines. Huta Batory is also a significant supplier to the domestic market of steel ingots. Steel is melted in electric arc furnaces. Our vacuum steel degassing unit (VAD) and ladle refining furnace (LDF) allow for producing ingot steel of high quality and metallurgical purity. Ingots are semi-finished products used in further technological processes: they are transformed into long, flat and forged products, which are used primarily in the shipbuilding, automotive, mining, and machine-building industry as well as construction.
RUREXPOL is a manufacturer of specialist pipes of basic diameters 121-273 mm used mainly for carrying and exploiting crude oil and gas. To meet the needs of power industry, Rurexpol produces alloy and structural tubes, which are machined at later stages to make elements of hydraulic servo-motors and load-bearing structures.
WALCOWNIA RUR ANDRZEJ (WRA) manufactures hot-rolled seamless pipes of small diameters (21 mm to 114 mm) and 2.0 to 10 mm in thickness. The laboratories of the pipe mill make chemical analyses of steel and cast iron, as well as carry out metallographic examinations, and technological and mechanical tests.
HUTA BANKOWA is a renowned producer of square billets, square bars for pipe production, square bars for gas cylinder production, round bars, angles, bulb flats, railway and tramway wheel tyres as well as rolled rings.
