ABDULLAH H. AL SHUWAYER COMPANY is one of the pioneers in the construction contracting industry in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The Company was founded by Abdullah Al-Hamoud Al-Shuwayer in Rastanura. Saudi Arabia in 1945.
The company began construction contracting in 1945 for housing projects with the Saudi Government authorities, Gas and oil facilities with Arabian oil Company (AOC) and as a subcontractor to Bechtel international for its oil related projects with Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO).
In 1967, Shuwayer Company had broadened its scope of endeavor by contracting directly with ARAMCO for projects at Rastanura, Abqaiq and other oil fields in the Eastern Province and with AOC in Khafji. These projects valued at more than 60 million US dollars, included structural and mechanical work for the LPG plants, Gas-Oil Separating Plant (GOSP), Desalination Plants. Off-Shore Jacket Fabrication and General Oil producing support facilities.
From 1967 to 2005. the company had completed several large Civil Works. Electro-Mechanical projects, Industrial Facilities, Buildings, Housing Units, Oil and Gas Facilities with a turnover of more than 3.5 billion Saudi Riyals.
The completed projects have built the company’s reputation as one of the leading Saudi Arabian construction companies and has allowed Shuwayer Company to maintain a strong presence in the contracting market despite the departure of some of its foreign partners.
