Akal, founded as subsidiary of Akkök Group in 1974, is supplying the knitting, weaving and carpet industries with finished yarn from Nm 2 to Nm 60 primarily made of acrylicand wool in addition to various types of natural, artificial and synthetic raw materials at its five factories with worsted, semi-worsted, open-end and fancy yarn. In the production of mixed yarns the company uses wool, mohair, nylon filament, viscose, cotton yarn and fibre. AKAL has carried out a series of operations in order to keep the quality of its products at international levels and has been crowned by the "ISO 9001" Quality Assurance System Certificate and "Öko-Tex Standart 100" certificate.
