First convened in 2018, the African Australian Legal Network (AALN) brings together members of the legal profession of African heritage and others with an interest in Africa. The AALN aims to provide a cohesive professional network to advocate for, and provide support to, our members and benefit from shared learning and experiences.
In addition, the AALN seeks to actively assist African-Australian law students and lawyers in finding opportunities suitable to their needs such as work experience, mentoring, clerkships or full-time employment, as well as promoting African cultural diversity within the legal profession.
