Aero Truck Ltd is an Anglo American company developing new active aerodynamics solutions for the heavy duty transportation sector. Our patented technology developed over the past 10 years delivers significant reductions in vehicle drag at highway speeds which result in reduced fuel consumption for trucks with fuel cells or combustion engines (diesel, alternative fuel, hybrids) or range extension for future technology battery electric vehicles. Our on road demonstrator vehicle has achieved fuel consumption savings of up to 15% at highway speeds using actively controlled vortex disruptor flaps coupled with our closed loop feedback control system. The technology delivers not only reductions in regulated and greenhouse emissions but can give a significant improvement in operation costs and a fast positive pay back period.
