Adventures in Waste is a community engagement organization and resource hub that bridges the experience and knowledge between waste professionals and everyday people to increase awareness, inspire action, and create a level playing field from which a socially and environmentally responsible, Zero Waste, solution-oriented world can be built.
Adventure in Waste strives to be a #zerowasteally in the fight against waste (from extraction to disposal), by providing a way to help disseminate information and elevate awareness. Adventures in Waste is dedicated to all things waste (and the reduction thereof) as it pertains to social, environmental, and cultural impacts and solutions. Through storytelling, community events, and an online resource hub, Adventures in Waste aims to be the go-to recommendation when seeking out a centralized location for waste related information, organizations, associations, and solutions.
Formerly Burbank Green Alliance (BGA) whose mission was to promote effective sustainable practices and build a network of resources for Burbank and surrounding communities. During their tenure they co-founded Tars Action SoCal and SoCal 350 Climate Action (Los Angeles affiliate of 350.org) and helped lead the Forward on Climate sister march in Los Angeles (the largest climate march in LA history for that time). BGA hosted in industry-specific workshops on Sustainability, Green Business Strategies - Lecture Series, and Environmental Film Screenings and Speaker Series. they developed Zero Waste policies for large venues/events for the City of Burbank, monthly environmental-based newsletters, and online resources.
