Terminale GNL Adriatico, also known as Adriatic LNG, operates the main regasification terminal for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Italy. Operational since 2009, the terminal makes a substantial contribution to the Italian Gas System, ensuring the security and diversification of the country’s energy supplies with a maximum authorized regasification capacity of 9.6 billion cubic meters, which corresponds to about 14% of the current national gas demand.
Located in the northern Adriatic Sea, approximately 15 km off the Venetian coast, the regasification terminal is connected to the national distribution network via a gas pipeline. It is anchored on the seabed at a depth of about 29 meters, with the terminal measuring 375 meters in length and 115 meters in width. The main deck is 18 meters above sea level.
Adriatic LNG is an Italian company with around 100 employees distributed among offices in Milan, Rovigo, and the offshore terminal. Safety and environmental protection, the centrality of People, and constant engagement with stakeholders and institutions are the foundations of Adriatic LNG’s corporate culture. These values, along with support for local communities and a commitment to sustainable development, guide the company’s work day by day.
