Active House – a holistic approach for healthier and more comfortable buildings
Active House is a vision of buildings that create healthier and more comfortable lives for their occupants without negative impact on the climate – moving us towards a cleaner, healthier and safer world.
The Active House principles are Comfort, Energy and Environment, with a key focus on users and the use phase of buildings. A building labelled Active House is proof that the developer, the builder, the planner, and the components are considering the user priorities. The Active House label is a worldwide quality stamp for comfortable and sustainable buildings. It advices on elements that are important to humans’ life and well-being in buildings.
The Active House concept covers the entire supply chain in the construction sector; the members join forces in the ambition to innovate, with a commercial focus on scale, to make the biggest difference in the built environment.
