Action Technologies Action Technologies, a Pune-based company with expertise in developing customised process control solutions, was set up by first-generation entrepreneur, S Vaidyanathan, after having acquired considerable years of experience in the domain of electrical and electronics solutions. One of the major projects the company is engaged is in the manufacturing of welding controllers for S S Controls that can boast of an almost zero per cent defect level. These controllers are used for spot welding processes to keep the parameters of power and energy under control. That apart, Action Technologies has domain expertise in the making of controllers used in X-ray machines to help keep voltage swings under check and thereby ensure that the resulting X-ray does not suffer from deviation. This is a standard requirement for places that experience different voltage peaks and troughs and the system helps the machine operate at a standard voltage to produce optimum output. These microprocessor-based controllers, which are currently being made for a Jaipur-based company called Medford Medical Systems, are absolutely user-friendly so that even a semi-skilled person can operate an X-Ray machine with complete ease or at times even do away with the need for a radiologist. Keeping in line with this trend the company has recently introduced user-friendly controller for line frequency and high-frequency C-ARM. With its sights set on developing niche solutions for the requirements of the future, Action Technologies has also devised controllers for energy savings that can decrease or increase the illumination strength of lighting systems. One such has been installed at Haveri in Karnataka where street lights are automatically dimmed or brightened in accordance with the passage of time from sunset to sunrise, programmed to switch on and off on their own.
