A rich broadcast history was born in December 1948 when Action News 5 became the first television station in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. The commitment made in 1948 to serve the Mid-South continues today.
Action News 5 is an NBC affiliate. We broadcast more than 40 hours of local news programming each week and are recognized as the Mid-South's news leader.
