The Materials Research Institute (Institut für Materialforschung Aalen IMFAA) is specialized in the processing, characterization, and testing of materials and components. Its primary focus is on advanced materials and components for efficient resource mobility, renewable energy, additive manufacturing, as well as on machine learning, and the industrial internet.
