Arts!Lafayette

The mission of ARTS!Lafayette is to support the growth of arts, artists, and organizations that further Lafayette’s identity as a creative district and a cultural arts community. We do this by: Raising funds for cultural arts. Funding cultural arts endeavors through organizational and direct community support. Encouraging public interest in cultural arts, activities, services, programs and facilities. Founded in 2011, ARTS!Lafayette is still growing to reach its potential. Working with a small group of dedicated board members we have been able to accomplish so much in our community. We have: Served on the Art Night Out planning committee Planned and staffed a Beer & Wine Garden for Art Night Out, 4 years Facilitated the donation of the permanent public art sculpture “April Charm” to City of Lafayette Provided beer and wine service for the Art on the Street Reception Facilitated donations to the Jean Mellblom Memorial fund Participated in fundraising team for the permanent public art work “Strollers” Partnered with Lafayette Cultural Resources to gather information and distribute area arts and cultural information through the Lafayette Arts Source e-newsletter Worked with the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC) and Public Art Committee (PAC) to strengthen and further develop Lafayette’s many arts and cultural resources. Plans for the future: Plan and host an ongoing series of Lafayette Arts Networking events Continue the Beer & Wine Garden for Art Night Out Develop a program to provide grants to support Lafayette arts and culture projects Continue the partnership for Surveying Our Future Fundraising Seek grants to support the missions and goals of LCAC, PAC, and ARTS!Lafayette
